• Certified Luxury Watches: Extended the ‘Certified’ program to luxury watches. Engineered LLM prompts to flag ‘Want-to-Buy’ listings and modified Elasticsearch queries to align with strict verification standards.

• Personalized User Intents: Built an Airflow pipeline converting user history to interest keywords via LLM, mapping them to recommendation feeds.
  Deployed using Batch API to cut inference costs by 75%.

Process: Applied via Glassdoor, had 2 technical rounds focusing on ML/DL basics,
matrix based problem solving, and culture-fit

What I Learned:

• Search systems are fascinating and complex

• Long Tail distributions are more common that it seems haha

• Problem solutioning is an iterative process, balance between depth and delivery speed

Projects:

• Replaced Naive Bayes with a Two-Tower architecture for query-category mapping, reducing latency by 90% and increasing offline precision by 5-6pp.

• Implemented a Bloom filter to flag username searches with 99.88% coverage and minimal marketplace disruption (<1% UUID impact).

• Optimized GCS upload sizes from 600MB to 60MB for internal dashboards.
