Link to Press Release -

Search systems are fascinating and complex
-
Long Tail distributions are more common that it seems haha
-
Problem solutioning is an iterative process, balance between depth and delivery speed
Projects:
-
Replaced Naive Bayes with a Two-Tower architecture for query-category mapping, reducing latency by 90% and increasing offline precision by 5-6pp.

Co-speaker for sessions on ‘Real-Time Structured Query Understanding’.
-
I should be updating this in April2026
AB Testing Workshop

Type: Online Workshop
Key Takeaways:
-
I finally found a niche enough term that perfectly describes what I do, I’m what they call a Product Data Scientist
-
Focus on the richer metrics, that closely match user experience, like search to book ratio for Uber
-
Experiments are a tool for product growth (small incremental)
-
Quick refresher into p-values and confidence intervals
-
Online workshops can be interactive too, just a lot of examples are needed
RL Conference, IISc
Date: 15 January 2026 - 18 January 2026
Type: Conference
Key Takeaways:
-
Well IISc can be very theoretical, I expected a smoother onramp, instead it felt like a Graduate level course :)
-
As with the inMobi conference, this was overwhelming as well, I’ll drag a friend along next time
InMobi Encore 2025
Date: 12 September 2025
Type: Conference
Key Takeaways:
-
Everyone uses TwoTowers, especially in search and reco space
-
I won a bluetooth speaker for winning a Kahoot Quiz
which was too big to fit in my luggage, gifted to friends as a housewarming gift.
pretty warm journey taking this in a BMTC sarige bus to Indiranagar -
Going to a conference alone can be super overwhelming, especially when 50% of the crowd are employees
